The Vessel
Westwinds is an Island Gypsy 44’ classic Trawler Yacht. The hull and deckhouse are constructed of GRP (glass reinforced plastic).
The decks are teak with much of the galley being solid teak. There are new granite work surfaces and hardwood floor in the galley (2008). All 4 cabins have been refurbished and the toilets and showers also renewed (2008).
Westwinds can sleep 10 people in 4 cabins, complete with 2 toilets & showers. We also have an i-pod tv & sound system.
Westwinds has been built to a very high standard by Kong & Halfson of Hong Kong. She is powered by 2x120 Ford Lehmams (overhauled 2007). Westwinds is a very spacious vessel and has excellent sea keeping abilities (this model of vessel has been known to cross the Atlantic).
